Happy Monday!!

Let's face it...Monday's suck, right? We just get over the weekend where we can (kinda) relax and then it is back to work and back to routine. The kids go back to school so then it is homework, lunches, and early bedtimes, which can be just as stressful to us as it is for the kids! At least there is one thing to look forward to on Mondays and that is the H{ippity} Hop!!! Most of you no the drill but for those who don't you should start over at the {ippity} blog for a list of participants so you don't miss any of the {ippity} inspiration.

The project I am going to show you today is a scrapbook layout! YAY! Scrapbook was my first passion when starting in the crafty world and I have been out of the scrapbooking for a couple of months now. But, with my newly found love of stamping I figured I would try it on a layout. I didn't go to crazy with the stamping...actually I only used one! LOL! I am still a little scared to use it on a layout...I don't want to mess it up. With this one I used a stamp as the title and cut it out of the white cardstock. Maybe one day I will get the courage to stamp ON my layout!!

I did this one for the Hippity Hop Twist Color Challenge as well. We were supposed to use red, white and blue. I added a little bit of kraft there but most of it will be covered up with my picture. Speaking of picture, I guess you noticed it was missing...my printer ran out of ink! ERRRRR!!!! Here is the picture that I am going to add...I will have it cropped to 5"X5".

And here is a close up of the stamp that I used!

The PEACE stamp is from the "Kissmas and Mistletoe" set from the Fall 2009 collection. I am not really sure where the quote sticker came from...I got it one ebay a looooooong time ago!! Remember, if you are interested in ippity and would like to purchase this stamp set or any others you can check out my sales blog!

Thank you for visiting my blog! Now, continue on the hop to see the others!

Blog Award!

Wow!! I got a blog award for the extremely talented Rebekah today!! Thank you so much, Rebekah! You guys should check out her blog 'cause she is awesome!

So, here's what I have to do...and what you have to do to get this award for yourself!

There are a couple of conditions for the award:You have been TAGGED and want to participate. Then create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image. You should also blog the persons link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award. You can then choose 3 - 5 favourite blogs which you also link in your post, then each blogger will inform you that they have been tagged.

Please note: The aim of this action is that we bring unknown, good blogs to light, so it is probably best to choose great blogs that are just starting out or who don't have a lot of followers. Not a requirement...just a suggestion!

Now here is the hardest part of the requirements...picking the blogs to pass the award on to!

Here are some of the blogs that I visit regularly and that I think you guys would enjoy:

So, there you have it! 5 very noteworthy blogs! Enjoy!

Its Hippity Hop Monday!!

Yippee!! If you just started here you should hop on over to the Ippity Blog so you can start from the beginning and get to see all the beautiful projects that have been created using Ippity stamps. And, remember, if you need any Ippity stamps you can visit my Ippity Sales Blog to see all of the sets and how to order them.

Now! On to the project! This time I turned a pop top Chef Boyardee can into a wonderful Valentine's gift for Jarod's teacher. I kinda went outside my comfort zone and used some vintage-like stuff...which turned out pretty good! If you want a tutorial on how to do these cans check out the one at Splitcoast Stampers.

I am not sure what the papers were...but the tag is a shipping tag bought at Staples for about $3 for 100! A great deal! I also know what the stamps and ink are....IPPITY!!! Both the music note background stamp (on the tag) and the heart (on the tag and on the front of the can) came from the "Music of my Heart" set, which is in the Winter 2010 collection. The ink used for the music notes is Unity Haystack and the heart is stamped with Unity Moulin Rouge.

I hope you have enjoyed my project! Now continue on the blog to see all the other Ippity Inspiration created just for you!

Friends with Flair Jan. 21

Hi! Its been a while since I have taken part in the FWF blog hop. Blame it on the holidays! But, I am back and I have been busy the past few days making birthday cards for the ump-teen birthdays that fall within this month and the next. Today I will show you three cards that I have made.

This one was done for the Unity Addicts Challenge #34 where we had to use one of our older stamps and a new one. Well, I am pretty new to stamping so all of my stamps can fall into BOTH of these catergories! So, I used the bug from "A Little Buggy", which is in the Spring 2010 Ippity by Unity collection. That set was in the first lot of stamps that I ever bought from Ippity. The birthday hats are from the "Party Hat Wishes" which is from the newest ippity release, Fall 2010. This card is going to my sons friend for his 9th birthday.

This one is for my 1year old nephew. I LOVED making this one!  It was so much fun! I used the bug from "A Little Buggy" and the hat from "Party Hat Wishes" again. This time I also added that cute little bird from "Fall From You" which is in the Spring 2010 collection. This was also made as a part of the Unity Hip Hop Sketch Challenge #40.

This last card is for my Grandmothers birthday, which is next month. I did this one for a challenge as well. The first week sketch challenge for the January 2011 Hippity Hop Twist Challenge. I used two sets on this card. The scallops on the right hand side of the card comes for the "Party Hat Wishes" set and the happy birthday sentiment as well as the butterfly comes from the "How YOU Doin'" set, both from the newest Fall 2010 Ippity release.

All of these challenges can be found on the Unity forum over at Splitcoast Stampers. Also. if you are interested in any of the sets that I have used or any other Ippity sets please visit my Ippity Sales Blog.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Hippity Hop January 17, 2011

Hello!! If you just started here than you may want to start over at the Unity Blog to get a list of other blogs to visit for awesome inspiration!

So, this is my first blog post for the New Year. The holidays really took a toll on my time! I had no time for anything, including stamping. But, now that Santa is back in the North Pole and the lights and decorations are down I have a little more time to get back to my passion!

With Valentines Day right around the corner I figured that I should get a move on with the treats that Jarod will be taking to his 3rd grade class. I decided to do a matchbox candy holder filled with Hershey Kisses cause everyone loves Hershey Kisses, right? Especially since they changed them to milk chocolate kisses! So here it is:

I used the Gurnsey Gingham stamp from the Fall 2010 {ippity} collection for the background and the "for you" stamp came from the Totally Happy set from the Summer 2010 collection. You can view my {ippity} sales blog here for more information on how to get them.

Here is another view of the box:

For the window I just used a heart shaped fiskers punch and then taped a piece of plastic behind the heart shape. That way those yummy Hershey Kisses won't fall out! By the way, I got the plastic from the packaging that the punch came in! I like to recycle.

Thank you for visiting my blog!!
